The English referee Howard Webb will be in charge of the World Cup final-the highest honour for this South Yorkshire policeman specially Englishman.He had a great domestic season but there is no doubt he has a commanding manner and is able to make tough decisions.The 38 year old will have Darren Cann and Mike Mullarkey as his assistants.I am sure Webb won't hesitate to go the drastic action.Then at least England will have something to be proud of from this tournament.
The presence of referee Howard Webb means England will have a representative in the World Cup final.



British referee Howard Webb has been named by FIFA the man in charge for Sunday's World Cup final between Spain and Netherlands at Johannesburg's Soccer City.


Howard WebbWebb, a Premier League regular, will be the first Englishman to run the final since Jack Taylor in 1974. He is also the first referee to take charge of the World Cup and Champions League in the same year.He was given the 2010 Champions League final between Inter Milan and Bayern Munich in May, and now becomes only the third Englishman to referee a World Cup final after William Ling in 1954 (when West Germany beat Hungary 3-2) and Taylor in 1974.



Webb and his assistants team of Darren Cann and Mike Mullarkey will take charge of Spain versus the Netherlands at Johannesburg's Soccer City on Sunday.
